About the Business Loan Calculator
A business loan calculator estimates the monthly payment and full cost of financing for your company. Enter the loan amount, interest rate (APR), term, and any origination or processing fee, and it returns the monthly payment, total interest, total repaid, and the cost per $1,000 borrowed — a handy way to compare offers. It works for term loans, SBA-style loans, equipment financing, and working-capital loans.
How business loan payments work
Most term business loans amortize like any fixed loan: equal monthly payments using M = P × r / (1 − (1 + r)−n), where r is the monthly rate and n is the number of months. Fees are added to the total cost. Some short-term business financing instead quotes a factor rate or fee rather than an APR; for those, convert to an equivalent APR before comparing.
Comparing offers fairly
Lenders quote business loans in different ways, so compare the total repaid and the cost per $1,000 rather than just the monthly payment or the headline rate. A lower monthly payment from a longer term can hide a much higher total cost.
Managing cost and cash flow
Match the term to the life of what you are financing, keep an eye on fees, and make sure the monthly payment fits your cash flow with room to spare. A shorter term saves interest but demands stronger monthly cash flow.

Business Loan Calculator FAQ
How is a business loan payment calculated?
For a standard term loan it uses the amortizing-loan formula on the amount borrowed, spread over the term at the monthly rate (APR ÷ 12), giving equal monthly payments.
What is cost per $1,000 borrowed?
It is the total you repay (including interest and fees) for every $1,000 of loan. It makes it easy to compare loans of different sizes and structures.
Are business loan fees included?
Yes. Enter the origination or processing fee and the calculator adds it to your total cost and reflects it in the breakdown.
What is a factor rate?
Some short-term business loans quote a factor rate (e.g. 1.3) instead of an APR, meaning you repay 1.3× the amount borrowed. Convert it to an APR before comparing with this calculator.
Does a longer term cost more?
Usually yes overall — a longer term lowers the monthly payment but increases total interest. Compare the total repaid, not just the payment.
What term should my business choose?
Match the term to what you are financing and your cash flow. Equipment loans often run several years; working-capital needs are usually shorter.
Is this business loan calculator free?
Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up, and runs entirely in your browser.
